YEAR 10 SUBJECT SELECTION PROCESS

This week, our Year 10 parents and caregivers were introduced to the subject selection process leading into Year 11. The evening is extremely important as it provides our Year 10 families with essential information on secondary graduation, TAFE and university entrance pathways available to students. I wish all the Year 10s well as the they move into the subject selection process and commence their journey into senior school. A recording of the evening is available HERE.

WEEK 4 WHOLE SCHOOL ASSEMBLY

We will host our next Whole School Assembly on Friday 20 May. Whilst many of the COVID-19 related school restrictions have been eased, we are transitioning our Whole School Assemblies by only inviting Year 7 students as an audience. Students in all other year groups will view the Assembly live in their Pastoral Care Group. The Assembly link will also be distributed to all families so you too can view and enjoy this occasion. It is hoped that the final Assembly for this term will be with the gathering of the whole school.

UNIFORM POLICY

As of Monday, the College will commence the transition back to its uniform policy for Year 10 students. Year 10 students will be required to wear their school uniform to and from school and get changed at the appropriate time for classes that require students to be attired in Sport Uniform. Students in Years 7-9 may continue to wear their Sport Uniform on those days that they are required to wear their sport uniform.  This includes travelling to and from school.

P&F ASSOCIATION

We can never place enough emphasis on connecting and building community. I would like to thank the P&F Association, who later today will host an evening for Year 7 fathers and their children in the Koort Centre. Lots of fun is expected with games, food and refreshments on hand. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents and begin mutual support for the years ahead.

This P&F initiative is a part of the College’s Fathering Project. This Project promotes fathers to engage with other fathers and their children which leads to strong positive connections and friendships within the College community. This event will commence at 5:30pm and I look forward to meeting many of our Year 7 fathers and their children.

COVID-19

The College has now received the free government Rapid Antigen Tests and each student will receive 10 tests early next week. The intention is to support families so that students can continue to attend school and minimise disruption to their learning. Parents will be able to test their child if they are feeling unwell or if their child is identified as a close contact. Students who are unwell should not attend school and close contacts who are asymptomatic and test negative may attend school but must wear a mask at all times.

God Bless.
