What is the best thing about being a teacher at Kismet Park?
Moving from my previous school to Kismet Park was the best decision I’ve made!
At Kismet Park, I feel respected and welcomed by our incredible students, families and staff. In return, I enjoy every teaching day with my class and it’s true to say that I can’t stop thinking about them! I have loved getting to know our families and working alongside our incredibly talented staff.
Do you have a favourite author/book? Why is it your favourite?
It’s hard to choose just one - you should see me looking for the right card at the newsagent! I would have to say, and my students would agree, it’s Roald Dahl. I enjoy his dark comedy in ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’, his clever wordplay in ‘Esio Trot’ and imaginative, unexpected endings in ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and ‘The Twits’.
What are your hobbies?
I’ve always loved being creative. I enjoy painting, drawing, and crocheting. I love photography and travelling. One day I plan to travel around Australia with my husband and puppies in our caravan. I can’t wait to have all the time in the world to do all the things I love to do.
If you could only eat 1 meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
That’s a terrible question! Food is my world! But if I must choose, I will say pasta. Gnocchi with creamy gorgonzola cheese is my favourite.
If you were a superhero, what powers would you have?
I would make time stand still. There’s always so much I have to do and I never seem to have enough time to do very much of it!
