Foundation (Prep)
What's been happening in Prep C this week?
We have focused on the letter Dd in Literacy. During Writer's Workshop, the children wrote creative stories about dinosaurs and worked on the correct letter formation of both upper and lowercase Dds. The students also brainstormed a terrific list of words that start with the 'd' sound and made a class big book titled, What is Behind the Door?
In Maths, the students demonstrated their understanding of two and three digit numbers. The activity highlights areas for improvement and helps set future learning goals. The children were also introduced to subtraction. Students worked in pairs and recorded their problem solving on chalkboards.
