The Arrowsmith Program

On Tuesday 17 May, parents of students in the Arrowsmith Program were invited to a ‘Try Arrowsmith’ afternoon. The afternoon session involved students teaching their parents and family various cognitive exercises. Parents quickly realised how much effort, concentration and cognitive awareness is needed to not only complete the exercises, but master them. The students were given the opportunity to demonstrate to their parents, their prowess at completing the exercises.

On Thursday 12 May, Arrowsmith staff, Head of Admissions, Mrs Jane Tepper and some Arrowsmith parents attended an ‘Evening of Gratitude’ at the RACV club in the city. The event was organised by the Arrowsmith Program, Canada, and was initiated as an opportunity to acknowledge the work of people involved in the establishment and running of the Arrowsmith Program at Oakleigh Grammar. Guests were treated to a number of speeches from current and former Arrowsmith staff members and parents about their journey with Arrowsmith and the positive impact the program has had on their lives.
