Ride2School Day - so much fun!

Ride2School day at NMPS took the fun of walking, riding, and scooting to school to a whole new level!! There were avocado shoes, lion and dragon bikes, rainbow scooters, and LOTS of streamers and bling. We had perfect weather; lots of smiles and excitement as our students celebrated the joys of riding, scooting, or walking to school in style 😆

Over 90 children who are usually driven to school instead rode their bikes, jumped on their scooters,s or walked. Fewer cars made the trip to school easier for everyone. The bike cages were definitely at capacity!

We had groups of children and parents walking each of our active paths through North Melbourne. Thanks again to parents volunteers - Corinna, Kristen, Lou and Megan - who led these groups.

The buzz of happy children on Ride2School Day was a great reminder that our students love being active on their way to school. At our recent workshop about active and safe travel students said loud and clear: it's fun, it's time outside, and an important time with their friends. Let's make Ride2School day every day (decorations optional).
