News from Around the School
Sports News
In the last few weeks there has been many sporting events that different children from QoP have taken part in. As teachers, and I'm sure parents as well, we are very proud them all.
In tennis news, Isabelle V (year 6) has qualified to compete at the Regional Primary School Tennis Championships which will be held early in Term 2.
In swimming news, Mia M has qualified to swim Butterfly in the State Primary School Championships by placing first at Regional level. She also placed 2nd in Freestyle. Ellum D placed 2nd in both her freestyle and backstroke. The girls medley team of Mia M, Fideline L, Emma A and Shammie C placed 4th and Tomi M placed 4th in both his freestyle and butterfly races.
In running news, the QoP Cross Country Carnival was held today. Firstly, a big thank you to all of the parents, volunteers and teachers that helped. The event ran very smoothly and consequently finished earlier than it has ever finished before. Whilst the children looked very tired, they expressed their enjoyment after the race and of how proud they were to finish such a long distance. I'm sure they will sleep well tonight.
Thanks for a great sporting term and I hope you manage to keep Active in April.

We are excited to be launching an online portal this year which will allow us to provide an environmentally-friendly, paperless system as well as being covid-friendly due to fewer visitors to the school office. Feel free to share this information with other families or kindergarten friends you know who may be interested in applying for a place in any of our Parish schools for Prep/Foundation in 2022.
School Uniform
In term two we generally switch over to winter uniform however, we all know how changeable Melbourne weather can be. Therefore students may weather summer uniform if this is more appropriate.
School hats are not essential next term but will be required again in September.
