P & F News 

Hello St. Fidelis Community, we hope you all had a lovely and restful school break. We’re ready to get right back into planning, with our first P&F committee meeting at 7:30pm TONIGHT (Monday 19th April) in the staffroom. 

We have another busy term ahead, so please ensure that you continue to read our weekly articles to keep yourself up to date with the latest information, and so you can SAVE THE DATES for upcoming school P&F events.

Second-Hand Uniform Sale

This coming term, as usual, our lovely P&F members will run multiple uniform stalls for you to purchase pre-loved school uniforms. The first uniform stall will take place on FRIDAY 23rd April, from 3 – 3:40pm sharp, run by Dan Sportelli and Lucy Walker.  A reminder that the stalls are CASH ONLY events as we do not have access to EFTPOS facilities. So, bring along your money and a bag to make your purchases. Items vary in price from $2 - $5, and our committee members work hard to ensure that there is a variety for purchase.

Terms 2 and 3 will see an increase in the need for WINTER UNIFORMS. Please, over the next few weeks, if you have a chance, sort through your children’s uniforms. If they have grown out of anything and it is still in great condition, donate it to the school for re-sale in upcoming uniform stalls. Please continue to check your SkoolBag notices and newsletter articles for future stall dates.

Thank-you to those of you who continue to donate your children’s pre-loved school uniforms. It is much appreciated.

Food Order Day (previously hot food day)

The first Food Order Day will coincide with our St. Fidelis Feast Day (Friday 23rd April). On this day, all children will be treated to a FREE food item, such as a cupcake or muffin. No orders are required, as this is a FREE event. The first pre-purchase Food Order Day is scheduled for Friday 14th May. Prior to this date, you will be able to pre-order and pay for your child’s food online at QuickCliq. Food items and prices to be advised in upcoming newsletters. 

Mother’s / Special Women’s Day Week

To celebrate the loving and caring mother’s and women in our children’s lives, during the week of the 3rd May, the P&F committee will be hosting and running a stall and breakfast event.

Stall– each student will be given the opportunity to purchase their Mum, Grandmother, Special Woman a gift of gratitude. Prices of gifts will vary in range, and there will be a huge selection available for purchase. We kindly ask that you support your child in this process by supplying them with money to bring on the day of the stall and a bag to carry their purchased items in. The children love this event and take pride in purchasing their loved one/s the BEST GIFT EVER. It brightens our day to see their happy little faces at the stall and we thank-you in advance for your support with this fundraising event.

Breakfast – On Friday 7th May, the P&F will be hosting a breakfast gathering to further celebrate the wonderful women that make up our St. Fidelis community. This is a ticketed event (prices to be confirmed) and is a wonderful way for us to come together in a positive light and enjoy some time together. Funds raised will further support the implementation of school resources and building works that continue to occur at St. Fidelis. 

The P&F are currently finalising the fine details of the above noted events, so please continue to read our weekly newsletters so that you can stay well informed on specific dates, prices and information.

St. Vinnie’s Winter Appeal

Between May 17th – June 17th, Dan Sportelli will be leading the St. Vinnie’s Winter Appeal. This drive is such an important event as it teaches our students how to lead as good Christians and assist those less fortunate than us. Details for the workings of this drive will follow in upcoming newsletters. We thank-you in advance for your support with this appeal.

Term 1 Funds Distribution

In next week’s newsletter, I will endeavour to include an overall summary of the AMAZING fundraising efforts that we, as a school community achieved in Term 1. You will receive a breakdown of events, with inclusion of total funds raised, as well as an overall summary on where these funds are intending on being utilised.

I will say again, a HUGE THANK-YOU for continued support with all our fundraising efforts. As has been mentioned, the funds raised go a long way in supporting the education and growth of the students at St. Fidelis Primary School 😊
