Captains' Corner

Tiana Amoretti and Kent Mijares - Faith and Mission Captains

Today we would like to extend a prayer to all of the people within India, as coronavirus cases have devastatingly taken over the country over these last couple weeks.  We are blessed to have formed such a diverse community within our school, so it is important that during this time and always we keep everyone in our hearts.

Dear Lord,

As the world works its way around this pandemic, we pray for all of the people who have fallen sick.  We pray that they recover and hold onto the strength to overcome any suffering.  We pray for families and loved ones, bless them Lord with your love and the inner courage to remain resilient, especially when it is difficult to see any light amongst the darkness.  We pray for the individuals who have passed on, may they now rest in peace with your eternal love.  Lord, we pray that India receives the resources necessary to overcome and control coronavirus cases, and for us here in Australia, we remain thankful that we are blessed to have access to the healthcare that so many others do not.  Lord, as we keep India close in our hearts; we pray that they remain courageous when afraid, comforted when alone, and peace amongst the turmoil. Together, we pray all people and remain hopeful that together, as one we will come out of this pandemic stronger.

Lord hear us,

Lord hear our prayer.

Amen

A warm welcome to the St John’s community as we continue the Easter season!   We’d just like to thank everyone for their contribution to Project Compassion; participation this year has been outstanding.  Events such as Founder’s Day and MAD Day are also coming up and we ask everyone for their continued enthusiasm throughout the rest of this term.  On the note of Founder’s day, I hope all the Year 8’s take every opportunity to have fun on the 11th as it will be your first Founder’s day (having missed out last year).

Kind regards,

Kent Mijares LE1
