House News -  Leonis

Ms Ash Fraraccio

Andrea and I are extremely proud of the efforts that all the Leonis students showed during Athletics, it was amazing to see everyone trying their best and participating.  Although we didn’t come away with the win, to finish second is something we are so happy with. It is the best start to House Carnivals Leonis has had in a while.  We would like to congratulate Columba on finishing 1st.

For Founder’s day the Leonis students are going to be running the activity called ‘Feed the Lion’ – where some of our teachers will be sitting as targets in a Big Lion Cut out.  We will also be providing a Sausage Sizzle ($2 per sausage).

Everyone in the house is super exited for MAD day, which we celebrate at the end of Term. We have started a new house initiative, proving clear glass jars in each homeroom to hopefully reach our house goal of $20 per student to raise more money for MAD day.  We encourage all Leonis homerooms to get behind this great initiative and try to contribute a gold coin or two each week over the course of the term.

We would like to acknowledge Emma Jorissen (LE2) who is representing St John’s and the SIS at the Victorian School Swimming Championships on Monday 10 May at MSAC, after her stellar performances at the SIS Swimming Carnival.

Good Luck Emma!!
