Student Safety Travelling To and From School
I’d like to ask you to talk with your children about travelling to and from school in a safe manner. Children riding bikes should wear a suitably fitted helmet and observe the road rules at all times. Children walking to and from school should walk on paths and cross at either a pedestrian crossing or traffic lights. Children must not leave the school grounds once they have been dropped off. Before school yard supervision is from 8.45am to 9.00am and afterschool from 3.30pm-3.45pm. Students at school prior to 8.45am (we do not recommend this) will need to be/play outside the office area and those left in the yard after 3.45pm will be asked to wait at/in front of the office area.
Student Safety – Drop off Pick up
In the interest of student safety I also ask all parents to observe and respect the signage at the Drysdale Road entry to the school. A number of cars have been noted ignoring the sign and compromising the safety of our school community, in particular our students.
Fossickers Way has clear signage which must be adhered to at all times. Cars are parking on both sides of the road making visibility for drivers difficult and again compromising community safety.
Please refrain from parking your vehicle at the gate, even if you are only planning to be here for a few minutes.
ACPS Lunchtime Clubs - Term 2
Our Clubs continue to provide students with a range of activities to join in with. Please take a look at the selection and encourage your child to attend one of interest. All clubs commence at 1.45pm after lunch eating time.
