SPORT

Hoop Time Regional finals will be held on Monday 11th November for our All Star Boys and Girls team made up of students from Year 4. We wish the students good luck as they represent St James on this day. Please ensure your children are at school by 8.30am for an 8.45am departure. Jerseys will be given to students on arrival, please ensure that they have a packed lunch, water and appropriate court shoes.

Tennis Trials

Over the next few weeks the senior students will be doing tennis as part of their Physical Education program. During this time I will also be running tennis trials for the possibility of two boys and two girls from St James to represent us at the Holt District Tennis Championships in mid February 2020. Students must be able to serve and score in order to take part.

ANNUAL STUDENT v STAFF NETBALL MATCH

On Friday 15th November at 1.30pm the annual staff and student netball match will be played. Parents are welcome to come and watch and support the TEACHERS!!!

Swimming Program and Carnival

This term we also look forward to the school swimming program and Carnival. This will be held at the same location as in previous years. SwimRight Sandringham

150 Tulip Street, Cheltenham, Vic, 3192

The swimming program will run from Monday 18th November until Wednesday 27th November.  The swimming carnival will be held the following day on Thursday 28th November.  If you have any concerns regarding the swimming program please contact myself or your child’s classroom teacher.  We will be asking for volunteers to help get students ready before and after swimming.  It is mandatory that all Parent Helpers have a current Working With Children Check, with details uploaded on CareMonkey.

Also can I ask that all families please ensure their child’s CareMonkey is up to date in regards to swimming abilities.

N.B. House coloured caps are compulsory for the actual swimming carnival and are available for purchase from the office @ $8.00 each.    They are not required for the lead up swimming program, but it is recommended that students wear a swimming cap at all times when in the pool.

Thank-you,

Mrs Georgia McNamara
