Chaplain's Corner
Hi Everyone,
Yes this week is ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ Week, and Wednesday was ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ Day! The idea is to promote awareness of the difference KINDNESS can make in our lives and the lives of others EACH AND EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR.
Of course, earlier in the week we could only spread kindness within 5 kilometres unless we showed kindness through a phone call, an email, or ‘snail’ mail!
KINDNESS is such an important value for both adults and children. It helps overcome hate, judgement and darkness and replaces these with LOVE, LIGHT & COMPASSION, EMPATHY and MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.
A great family activity: Thank each other for the kindness they show – a smile, helpful attitude, hug, or kiss, etc. Then think of ways that you as a family or as individuals can show kindness to those around you, at home, in the community and at school!
LET’S WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE!
