Boronia Group News Term 1
The children of Boronia group have settled well this term and are adapting to the new arrival and departure routines. The kinder room and the new back yard have provided opportunities for the children to explore, learn and investigate through play in their new surroundings.
During our first term, we have taken the time to get to know one another. We have explored colour through sensory, play and creative play. The children have enjoyed taking part in movement songs, stories and role play in the drama role play area. The vets have been a well-liked play and learning space. The changing season provides a new scope for investigating and learning through play and enquiry. We are excited to look at how nature changes as we move into Autumn.
A few housekeeping reminders as we head into Term 2. Please provide snack and or lunchboxes that the children can learn to open by themselves. Sometimes these can be tricky but it affords the children the opportunity to learn a skill. We are happy to assist the children where needed. As the cooler days return in Term 2, an adequate number of changes of clothes and a pair of shoes that are labelled. If you are able to send a reusable shopping bag in your child’s bag, we can use this to send home any wet clothes when needed.
If any of your contact details have changed, please let us know.
Thank you for a lovely start to the year. We look forward to seeing you all again in Term 2.
Bye for now, Yvonne, Alyson and Beena.
