Year 8 MIND BODY PEDAL DAY

On Tuesday February 8th all Year 8’s were involved in Mind Body Pedal day. The students participated in three sessions across the day, these sessions being cycling, yoga and building self-esteem. The sessions were led by presenters from the Mind Body Pedal team who quickly engaged with the students and had them fully participating in each activity. The students thoroughly enjoyed getting out on the bicycles, refreshing their riding skills while the yoga gave them a chance to do stretching, deep breathing exercises and practice calming techniques. 

The self-esteem session reinforced to the students about having a go and being confident in their own abilities. Speaking to the students at the end of the day they all thought Mind Body Pedal day was fun but it also reminded them to be resilient and try to be active each day. Thanks to Mr Lehmann for organising the day and to the staff that assisted in each session.
