Welcome to our high performing students

Last Thursday we had the special privilege of welcoming back three of our high-performing students from last year, Isaiah Smith, Holly Sharman and Keziah Rankcom. Unfortunately, Abbi Driscoll was not able to join us.

These students did exceptionally well with their academic studies in 2022 and were rewarded with excellent ATAR scores. This has enabled them to go on to University and study the course of their choice.

Isaiah – a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Architecture at Melbourne University.

Keziah – a double bachelor’s degree in Law and Arts at Deakin University.

Holly – a Bachelor of Paramedicine at the Australian Catholic University.

Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning, Lisa Dumicich, and myself had the opportunity to meet with them over a light lunch and chat to them about their experiences at MECS. It was great to hear how their Christian faith had been shaped and formed by their experiences over the years, and how they felt they were well-prepared to meet the challenges of tertiary studies.

They then came to our Secondary Assembly and shared with our students some of their ‘tips’ for not only surviving but thriving in Year 12. They had a great message to share, and we hope that our current students enjoyed and were challenged by what they shared.

Congratulations and best wishes to each of them as they commence their studies and continue to honour God with the passions and abilities God has given them.
