We are able to see the work of God as others help us. Our situations may not be as dramatic as the blind man's. But, God can use us to help ...
John 9: 1-41
Jesus heals the man born blind and reveals himself to him as the Son of Man.
Today’s Gospel tells the story of how Jesus healed a man who had been blind from birth. As we listen to this Gospel, imagine what life might have been like for this man. Think about how much he must have appreciated the gift that Jesus gave him.
What did people think about the healing? (Some could not believe it. Others wanted to know where Jesus was. Some thought Jesus was a sinner.) What did Jesus say to the man born blind when he meets him again? (Jesus reveals himself as the Son of Man, the Messiah.)
It was truly a great gift when Jesus healed the man’s blindness, but it was an even greater gift when Jesus revealed himself as the Son of Man, the Messiah. And the man received that second gift as willingly as he accepted the first one. He became a believer and worshiped Jesus.
In Baptism, Jesus reveals himself to us, and we’re called to be like the man in today’s Gospel, accepting the gift from Jesus so that we may truly see Jesus as our Lord and worship him.

Dear Parents/ Carers,
On Sunday, 19th March, the Year 5-6 students from St Peter’s are rostered to participate at the 9.00am Parish Mass. It is followed by hosting a morning tea until 11.00am. This is a wonderful initiative to build partnerships between the families and students of St Peter’s primary school with the parishioners of St Peter’s Parish Church. This is also a school expectation which is a part of our curriculum and brings us together as a Parish and School Community. It is also an expectation that parents are with their children during the Mass.
The Year 5-6 students will be involved in a variety of jobs prior to Mass, during Mass and after Mass so it is important that they are present by 8:50 am. Families are invited to bring a plate of morning tea to share with parishioners. Please bring the shared morning tea on a disposable plate or in a clearly named container to the parish hall before 9.00am. We ask no food containing nuts be brought.
We are looking forward to seeing all students and their families together.
Kind regards,
Mrs Chamberlain and Mrs Bowen

We can do this by following the three pillars of Lent.

Dear Parents/ Guardians,
Lent is a season for ‘Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving’, it is that time in the year when we are reminded to think of the less fortunate in our community. Our inquiry topic for this term is ‘Responsibility’, which makes us realise that we belong to a community and we have a responsibility to see that everyone feels welcome. We cannot reach every individual on the earth but we can reach out to those within our community. God made our world and God wants all of us to share everything equally. Caring for the poor is everyone’s responsibility. To show that we care for the vulnerable people in our community, we would like to continue with a non-perishable food drive. It would be great if each family could contribute two cans, packets or jars of non-perishable food.
As we have proudly done in the past we invite students to be proactive and earn this food for those in need.
Your child would bring home a gift voucher and offer their services to be rewarded with 2 non-perishable items of food for our drive. In this way they have earned the food and feel proud that they have in some way contributed to helping those in need. The last day for this collection will be the 6th of April.
Our students are ready to do chores at home to earn the non-perisahable food for the less fortunate. Please give them a job at home so that they can show their concern for others.
Thank you for your support

Blessings to you and your families !
