Harmony Day

Dear families,

As you may know, Harmony Day is on Tuesday, 21st of March next week. As an inclusive and diverse school community, we value it as an important day to celebrate everybody’s differences and cultures. On Tuesday, students can wear their traditional cultural clothing or wear orange casual clothes. The colour orange is worn on Harmony Day, as orange traditionally represents deep and meaningful social conversations. Don’t feel that you need to buy new clothes for your children, feel free to wear whatever you have at home. The Arts and Social Justice Team have put lots of effort into organising some special events that are happening on Tuesday so we hope that your children will have a lovely time celebrating Harmony Day and embracing all of the unique and diverse cultures in our community.

This year’s theme for Harmony Day is: “Everyone Belongs”. This highlights the importance of inclusivity and belonging in our world.

Kind regards,
