CALL OUT FOR VOLUNTEERS - SCHOOL PRODUCTION 2023

We are seeking committed volunteers from our school community to support the School Production. This is a highlight for our community but most importantly the culmination of skill development and school pride for our students.

As an ongoing RPS tradition, Year 5/6 students await the opportunity to audition for roles developed through an original script. We all know how unique it is to run major school productions in primary schools and this entails the support of our community for the benefit of all students. Over the last 10 years, the calibre of the performances has been exceptional and the experiences for our students invaluable.

We are seeking volunteers for the following critical roles to support Mr G, our teachers and students:

Director:

  • auditioning and casting
  • staging and blocking
  • over 60 hours plus of rehearsal time with Year 5/6 students and the whole school during the school day (this commitment is critical in Term 2 & Term 3)
  • working with the scriptwriter and producer
  • evening and matinee direction
  • working with Caulfield Grammar theatre staff tech direction
  • experience highly advisable

Props/Costumes/ Stage Design:

  • costume design
  • props
  • staging
  • back drop/s

HEALTHY EATING - BIRTHDAY TREATS

We encourage families to consider healthy eating options when celebrating children's birthdays. We have seen the rise of lollies, chocolate and many sugary sweets.

COVID-19 restrictions surrounding packaged products are no longer in effect and any baked goodies are welcome as long as the ingredients are listed.

We have a healthy eating policy on our website and the following website has some great advice.
