Principal Report
Evan MILLER - Principal
In reflecting on the Term, it has been fantastic to see many of our celebrations and activities returning to normal onsite and in person. Some of the highlights include:
- Year 7 Camp at Lord Somers Camp from Wednesday 15th March to Friday 17th March. Our Year 7 students had an amazing time at camp participating in many activities including: stand up paddle boarding, raft making, kayaking, pizza making, t-shirt printing and initiative games. This camp is an opportunity for our new Year 7 students to continue to build new friendships with other students and it was really positive to see this happening while at camp.
- Twilight Tunes Concert held on Thursday 23rd March in our school courtyard. It was great to see our talented musicians performing in front of our school community.
- VCE Formal on Tuesday 4th April. We held our VCE Formal for our Year 11 and 12 students at Merrimu Receptions on Tuesday. Our students had a fantastic night and it was nice to see them celebrating their formal together at the end of Term.
I have also been very proud of our students in the way they continually exhibit and model our school values, respect, responsibility, resilience, integrity and excellence. The resilience our community has shown when times have been challenging along with the respect and responsibility that I see our students displaying every day at school has been outstanding and I encourage everyone to reflect on their achievements this term but also identify an area they would like to improve in Term 2.
As we come to the end of Term 1, I would like to wish everyone a relaxing and enjoyable break over these school holidays. It has been a busy term with lots of positive achievements from our students and staff. While some of our students may have some holiday homework to complete, it is also important to make sure they have a break and spend time doing activities they enjoy so they feel refreshed and recharged when we come back for Term 2.
