Principal's Message

By Jenny Hassett

Welcome back

We hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable term break and are all feeling refreshed and ready for what is shaping up to be an exciting term.

We have a number of special events being held during this term including - swimming program, Book Week, Education Week  and Unit excursions to a number of interesting venues. Please keep an eye on COMPASS for updates concerning upcoming events.

Just a reminder that Term 2 is a 9 week term and concludes on Friday, June 23rd. Students return on Monday 10th July.

Staffing Update

Our staffing remains the same, athough we do have a change of name. Rachael Nimmo was married over the holidays and is now known as Mrs Hall. Rachael looked amazing on her very special day , despite the fact that it poured raining all day. We wish her and Connor the very best as they begin married life.

Mother's Day

Many thanks to the group of mothers last Friday who gave up their time to prepare all the gifts for the Mothers Day stall. The stall will be held on  Friday 12th May. On the day gifts will be priced at $5 and $10.

Parent/Teacher Interviews.

This year we are conducting Parent/Teacher interviews in a slightly different format. In the past we have had 3 Way Interviews where students attended the interview. This year we are reverting to the "old style" interviews between parents and the teacher. At the conclusion of interviews we will survey all parents to see which is preferred.

There will be 2 days where interviews are conducted. This has been necessary as Grades 1&2 are involved in a swimming program in the last two weeks of Term 2.

Grades Prep, Grade 3,4/5 and 6 interviews will be held on Monday 19th June( last week of Term 2) and Grades 1 and 2 on Monday 17th July( second Monday of Term 3).

Parents may attend the interview in person at the school or elect to receive a phone interview at a specific time. This may make things more convenient for parents who find it difficult to attend in person due to family or work commitments.

More information re these interviews will follow via COMPASS.

Prep Enrolments 2024 - Important

If you have a sibling of a current student needing enrolment next year then we ask that this is submitted as soon as possible to give us a clear indication of potential numbers and class sizes.

Hats

During Terms 2 and 3 Students can wear navy beanies to keep their heads warm. Beanies with the school logo are available online or from the school office for $10. Coloured and football beanies are for wearing over the weekends.
