Upcoming Learning
During the next fortnight, students will be undertaking learning in the following areas:
| Reading | Week 8 and 9- We will be exploring a range of texts that include sounds and heart words as part of our Little Learners Love Literacy program. Students will participate in a range of reading activities that will support them in developing their phonological awareness. |
| Writing | Week 8 and 9- Students will continue to explore narrative writing by using digital technology to create a story. They will use settings around the school to support them in creating a digital story before they write and share this story with their peers. |
| Maths | Week 8 and 9 - Students will be exploring Money and Time. They will identify each of the coins and order them in terms of their value. Students will explore time and how to represent o'clock on an analogue clock. |
| Inquiry | Week 8 and 9 - We will be exploring Australian Aboriginal communities and the roles that Aboriginal people have in their communities. Students will explore dreamtime stories and a range of traditional practises of Aboriginal people. |
| SEL | Week 8 and 9 - Students will be exploring the importance of being responsible for themselves and the way they speak and act. |
News and Reminders:
- Please remember that your child needs a sun smart hat to be able to play outside.
- Reader satchels need to be brought to school every Monday.
- Please sign your child's reading log (located at the back of their phonics book) every night.
- Remember although your child only comes home with two books they read one each night this will help build their fluency.
- Library has begun. Please remember to return your books on your class's assigned library day.
