School Wide Positive Behaviour Support
Term 1 update
We are very proud of our students for embracing the School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework and demonstrating our school values of Respect, Learning, and Safety. Here are some of the exciting initiatives and achievements that have been happening around SWPBS:
- Monty Shop: Our students have been using their Monty Money rewards to buy items from the Monty Shop, which is open everyday. The shop sells a variety of items such as toys, costumes, books and games that students can enjoy at school or at home. The classroom staff support students to purchase items with their Monty Dollars.
- Positive Behaviour Notifications: We have introduced a new feature on Compass that allows us to send Positive Behaviour Notifications to families when their child engages in positive behaviour at school. These notifications are a great way to celebrate and acknowledge our students' achievements and efforts, as well as to keep families informed of their child's progress.
- Yard Monty's: We have also implemented a new yard token system where students are given Yard Monty's when they engage in positive behaviour in the yard. These tokens can be exchanged for Monty Money at the end of each playtime. The Yard Monty's are designed to encourage students to take turns, show respect, play safely and follow instructions with their peers and staff during outside playtimes.
We would like to thank all our families for their ongoing support and involvement in SWPBS. Together, we can create a positive and inclusive school culture where everyone feels valued, happy and successful.
