Students have enjoyed learning a dance to a song called, 'Rock 'n' Rollin' in Performing Arts.  They have practiced actions such as twisting, waving, turning and showing off their air guitar moves! Students have also explored and expressed animal movements to the song, 'The Animal Friendship Dance' . They have learned to safely interact with others in the space as their animal character and move to different speeds, levels and directions.

Students have started to learn a hip hop dance to a song called, 'How Bad Can I Be?'from the Dr. Seuss movie, The Lorax. They have enjoyed expressing a strong and tough character in their movements. Students have also been using their imagination to create actions in response to the Aboriginal Dreamtime Story of 'The Rainbow Serpent' with accompanied instrumental music. They also expressed their ideas in response to a Cherokee Indian Creation Story called, 'How the World was Made'. Students are learning that dance can come from all over the world and can be expressed in many different ways.
