CEO'S Report

It is with great excitement I confirm the LLEN will be refunded for another two years, which will enable us to continue delivering the Structured Workplace Learning and an amended Disengaged Learners/LLEN program to schools and students in our region. The details of the new contracts have not been confirmed, however it is anticipated there will be a stronger focus on careers supports, industry engagement  and student pathways and transitions across the students secondary school journey.  What this will mean for our community based partnership work is yet to be determined but we are hoping that as long as we can demonstrate benefits to students in terms of their pathway support our work will be valid under the new contracts.  Structured Workplace Learning will remain the same so we will continue to provide a first class service and I thank Wendy Dalkiran for her excellent work supporting our schools and our employers to deliver a smooth, well run program.  We continue to bring new employers onto the SWL portal  and look forward to another successful year.

When we know the details of our new LLEN contract we will consult with the LLEN Committee of Management and stakeholders to confirm our strategic plan and operations for 2020-2021.
