What have we been up to?

We have had a great few weeks with our making and creating. The challenge was for the kids to make their own catapult that could stand on its own and launch a marsh mellow as far as they could.  They could only use string, cello tape and 3 kebab sticks for this so they had to be very creative.  We had some great designs with Pavlo, Lilla, Orlando, Leo and Martha’s marshmallow all clearing the table.

This week we are continuing our making and creating theme with the egg carrier challenge.  The children will be designing an egg carrier that will protect the egg when it is dropped from a height.  Only items found around Kelly club can be used for this challenge.  Can’t wait to see what designs everyone comes with up!

Kinder Corner

The children have been enjoying painting the plaster sea animals, and are creating some bright and colourful pictures. They have been very interested in the guinea pigs and enjoy sitting and patting them.

We also had some great designs for the catapults and loved playing and building with the sticks and string.

Holiday Program

With the holidays fast approaching we will be running our holiday program.  We will be running for the first week of the holidays 24th-28th of June and are looking for expressions of interest for the remaining two weeks.  Further information and flyers will be available shortly.  If you have any questions or would like more information just see Hannah or Patricia.  

Just a reminder about our 24-hour cancellation policy. If you have made a booking with us for your child we just require 24 hours written notice of cancellation.

The Kelly Club

The Kelly Club OSHC Program runs at Arlington Monday to Friday, following the end of the school day at 3.30pm.  You can find out more about Kelly Club here.

The Program is focused around sports, cooking, art and craft activities as well as structured ‘free-time’ after a busy day at school.   Activities are optional for students and incorporated into themed subjects each week that give children the opportunity to extend their learning outside of the school classroom.  Children have opportunities to explore and discover through resources provided each day.
