PTS Conferences

Samantha Milbourn

Assistant Principal

PTS Conferences are  very important to teaching and learning and provide an opportunity for parents, students and teachers to discuss a student’s progress and to consider a plan for improving future learning.

Conferences allow us to form partnerships, both to advance student progress and to enhance connectedness within our college and our school community. Feedback has a significantly positive effect on student learning (Hattie, 2009) and research by Hong and Ho (2005) reveals that parent aspirations have the most positive effect on student achievement when parents take an active approach in their child’s learning.

With this research in mind, I was pleased to see so many parents and students at PTS Conferences This term. Thank you all for your attendance and for working with us to enhance your child’s success.
