Parent Involvement in school life

Claudia Johnson

Assistant Principal

Building a sense of connectedness between our school and our students’ parents is important in developing a strong school community. We know that our parent community is a rich and diverse resource who could contribute to the school as guest speakers in their professional fields, mentors from their workplace, and additional supervisors for excursions and school events.

Calling for Volunteers

So, we are calling for parent volunteers. The excursions and classroom activities for Semester 1 that would be improved with parent involvement are listed an the document attached here.

Please register your interest for these activities (or suggest other areas not listed) by contacting the staff members  or contacting me directly via email - johnson.claudia.c@edumail.vic.gov.au

Working with Children

Please note that under our obligations as outlined in the Working with Children Act 2005 and in accordance with Brunswick Secondary College's commitment to Child Safe Standards, all volunteers working within the school must hold a current Working With Children Check (WWC).

If you would llike to volunteer at the school but do not possess a WWC card,  access the WWC Website for details.  This website fully explains the purpose and procedure for applying for a WWC card.
