'The Vibe'
On Wednesday June 20th, the annual ‘Vibe’ Festival will take place. Our Year 5 students will venture to the Middle Years Positive Education Centre for a raft of fun-filled activities. At the Junior School, students in Prep to Year 4 will split into House groups and rotate through activities focussing on visual arts, music, sports and digital technologies. We hope to welcome many visitors to the College for a taste of our engaging learning culture. Junior School families are encouraged to get the word out to friends and family to come to College for a memorable day.
Report Writing Day - June 8th
Junior School parents are reminded that Friday June 8th is a designated pupil free ‘Report Writing Day’. The Junior School staff will be writing Semester One reports whilst our Early Learning Centre team will be heading to Geelong for visits to a number of child care centres.
Junior School Cross Country Success
Congratulations to Junior School student Zoe Addinsall who won the Girls’ 11 years Zone Cross Country event in Warrnambool last Friday. It was a great run and comes on the back of firsts for Zoe at the House Cross Country and District Cross Country championships. Well done to Ava Mould who placed 7th in the same event and Jacob Butcher and Charlie Beggs who placed 10th & 4th respectively in the Boys’ 11 Years event. All four will head to the Greater Western Regional Championships at Deakin University in Warrnambool this coming Friday, June 1st.
Eisteddfod Preparations
Mrs Christie, Mr Singh, Mrs Wear, Mrs Salt, Mr Walsh and Mr Hiscock have done a tremendous job in preparing the Junior School students for next week’s Hamilton Eisteddfod. The Junior School has more than 20 students competing in individual competitions throughout the week. Good luck to all competitors.

College Bandicoots went down 1-0 to Coleraine in a top of the table clash at Pedrina Park on Saturday. It was a high quality match, with both teams threatening the goals on a regular basis. Best for Bandicoots were Tobe Adamson, Will Merrin and Olivia Mann.
College Tassie Devils went down 6-1 to College Numbats. Harry and Jack Austin were the driving forces in an excellent display from the Numbats. Jock Barrie played strongly, as did Sybil Fleetwood and Darcy Fleetwood. Best for Tassie Devils were Phoebe Russell, Tom Templeton and Hamish Jeffery.
College Drop Bears defeated Monivae 3-1. Goalie Emily Ash performed a series of excellent saves. She was well supported by Jacob Butcher, Angus Dohle and Ciaran Nelson. Harry Mercer was a constant threat in the ‘D’ and scored a well-deserved second half goal.
