Compass Updates

Chronicle Posts:  Green and Grey

Compass continues to be one of our main forms of communication with students and families.  We are continually refining how we use this platform to provide students and their parents with feedback about student progress.  Everyone understands that there is a strong relationship between learning progress and positive proactive classroom behaviour so we have introduced green and grey chronicle posts to provide additional information about classroom progress.

Green Compass posts recognise students who are engaging positively with others and their learning. These will appear in your Compass Newsfeed and outline the positive behaviour demonstrated by students.  Grey Compass posts will appear in your Newsfeed to communicate any academic or behavioural concerns that may have occurred for the student.

Teachers will post these and record their concerns and any actions that may have been taken.

This increased communication via Compass will allow families to celebrate successes with their children or discuss any issues that may be presenting. These posts have begun during the Remote Learning period and will continue once school resumes.

If there are ongoing concerns, we encourages students and families to contact their Remote Learning Support Group Teacher, the classroom teachers or their Year Level Leaders.
