YEAR 9 NEWS

Year 9 Leaders 2017

Hannah McDermott – Leading Teacher

Year 9 is an important year for many reasons; young adults begin to make firmer decisions about their future pathways and careers, and also understand better who they are as people and what their place in the world is. I have had the pleasure of watching this cohort grow, develop and flourish into young adults over the past two years and it is a bittersweet moment for me as I farewell the cohort and the College for a year to spend time with family in London. It has been quite the ride, with many highs and lows, but I can honestly say I have enjoyed the challenge. All the very best of luck to you all as you head into either mainstream Year 10 or VCAL; I look forward to catching up with you in 2019 and hearing about all of your successes.

Rowly Richardson – Leading Teacher

I can only concur with Miss McDermott’s comments and congratulate all of the year nine students on a wonderful year. I have really enjoyed joining the year nine team and getting to know all of the students. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the year nine teachers for their hard work and for assisting the students in producing so many examples of excellent work. I would also like to thank Miss McDermott for her support this year and wish her the best for next year spending time with her family. Mr L did okay too!!! You have all demonstrated enormous potential as students and I cannot wait to see what you achieve in the future.

Nem Lojanica – Coordinator

There have been many highs and some lows throughout 2017, but it sadness me that the school year is coming to an end. It was a pleasure teaching and coordinating this group and I wish them all the very best for next year and good luck for all their future endeavours! A big thank you to all the year 9 staff that have worked extremely hard throughout the year and made my job more enjoyable. Bring on 2018!
