VCAL CAR SHOW

Year 11 VCAL students organised and ran a very successful and impressive car show on the school grounds in October. There was a wide array of vintage and classic cars on display for the whole school to enjoy. VCAL students also ran a BBQ on the day and gave away show bags filled with information, prizes and giveaways from local automotive dealers. The car show was part of their VCAL subjects and they were assessed on how well they organised and put it together. We hope to run an improved car show in 2018!

PARKS AND GARDENS GRADUATION

2017 was our first year of co-ordinating an amazing Parks and Gardens program (Certificate II) at the College with ATEP. Our inaugural crew graduated their Certificate II at the College last week with ATEP and Advance in attendance, as well as Jackie Woods and Shaun Doherty (AP). Jackie deserves a HUGE thank you for putting this program together this year. We already have the numbers to run it again in 2018 due to the fantastic projects that were completed around the College, at Karingal Heights Primary School and at Angus Martin House in Frankston. Great work team!

Maddie Long took out the Outstanding Student Award, while Talia Tsiakopolous received the Encouragement Award.

YEAR 12’s FINISH FOR 2017

We said goodbye to our Year 12 class of 2017 in an emotional and enjoyable set of celebrations. The last VCAL assembly was fun and heartfelt, with an amazing original composition from Cody Ballantyne sung on his ukulele, and a silly dance and song from the dedicated VCAL teachers. Good luck in your future endeavours Year 12’s, and keep in touch!

Valedictory was the following night and we were proud as punch to see some of our 2017 class enjoy a night of awards and dancing. The big winners from VCAL at Valedictory were:

Our 2017 VCAL Valedictorian was Kayla Wilson. Kayla is a model VCAL student who always involves herself in projects and hands on learning, while staying connected and communicative with her teachers. Congratulations!
