Prep Expo

Thank you to all the families who came to the Prep Term 1 Expo Afternoon! It was so lovely being able to share some special time with our families and show them our classroom. 

This term we have been learning 'All About Me'. We started by discussing what makes us unique and significant events that have happened in our lives. We then distinguished who lived in our house by using different colours to represent our family members. After that, we looked at a world map and explored where our parents were born. We spent an afternoon creating family trees with our families and watched the story The Family Book by Todd Parr. To continue sharing with our friends with what makes us special, the children have been presenting a significant item from home. They have all been very brave and proud to share their items with their peers. 

We have appreciated the parents' involvement by sending in lots of photos and information about your family. 

Thanks for a great Term 1 and we are looking forward to another great term ahead. 

Daily 5

Daily 5 is up and running in the Prep classrooms! It’s lovely to see the students so excited about reading and writing and becoming confident learners! 

To continue to build reading stamina, we encourage students to bring their favourite books from home. We ask that students change these books every few weeks so that they have new books to read during Read to Self. Books can range from picture storybooks to magazines! Anything that your child loves to read!
