Human Biology and Psychology Excursion

Year 12 Human Biology and Psychology

On Thursday 26 July the Year 12 Human Biology and Psychology students attended the Perth Zoo for a unique learning experience. Students attended two seminars which examined the evolutionary trends within the Primate order and how the principles of learning have been applied to the care and management of Perth Zoo’s animals. Under the direction of Perth Zoo staff, brave students were even able to touch a snake. Between seminars, students were able to explore the zoo grounds and see Zeus the notorious Southern Hairy Nosed Wombat and the Pygmy Marmoset; a favourite among staff and students. Well done to all students for their excellent behaviour and participation on the day.
