Student Achievements

Ben Rowlands (Year 11 - K5)
All Schools Rowing Regatta
Congratulations to Ben Rowlands who represented St Norbert College at the All Schools Rowing Regatta on Friday 21 July held at Champion Lakes. Ben won the 1km single scull in a time of 4:31, the 1km quad (alongside rowers from Trinity and All Saints) in a time of 3:43 and the 1km Open Double (alongside a rower from Trinity) in a time of 3:38. Thanks to Sam Rowlands for sending through the information and images. Unfortunately, Sam was injured and unable to compete on the day. The brothers were introduced to rowing after taking part in a WAIS Talent Identification testing session held at the College last year. Congratulations Ben, we look forward to hearing more about your successes on the river and hope to see Sam back competing soon.
Chloe Reilly (Year 9 - T3)
We recently wished Chloe Reilly our best wishes in representing WA in the School Sport Australia U15 Girls AFL National Championships. We were pleased to hear that Chloe had a fantastic carnival and made the All-Australian team for being one of the best players for the championships. This is a significant achievement and now puts Chloe on the radar for AFLW clubs and we have no doubt she is an AFLW star of the future. Congratulations Chloe!
Jaco Jansen van Rensburg (Year 11 - K4)
Congratulations to Jaco Jansen van Rensburg who was announced as a member of the Athletics Australia Under 17 and Under 18 Talent Recognition List. The two groups are part of a next generation of athletes with the potential to represent Australia in future senior athletics teams. Well done Jaco and we look forward to following your journey!
MJ Jansen van Rensburg (Year 12 - K6)
Keep Watch!
MJ Jansen van Rensburg was recently featured in The West Australian newspaper in the “Ed!” lift out. The West Australian contacted the College asking for any “sport stars in the making” and they were very eager to feature MJ in a Q & A style interview accompanied by a great photo of MJ winning the Open boys race at the 2018 ACC Cross Country.
You can view the article below and keep an eye out each Tuesday as something tells me we might have a few more students featured!
