NAS (Northern Associated School) Sport

Those involved in NAS  Sport, the following schedule usually applies; 

  • Monday ‐ Year 7
  • Tuesday ‐ Year 8 and Year 9
  • Wednesday ‐ Year 10 and Years 11/12

All fixtures finish by 5:15pm, 5:30pm for cricket. Please note that you will need to take into account  the time it will take to travel back to the College for away fixtures. 

 

Approximate return to John XXIII College arrival times are; 

  • Newman College – 5:30pm
  • Chisholm College – 5:45pm
  • Sacred Heart College – 5:45pm
  • Servite College – 5:30pm

Occasionally fixtures need to be rescheduled due to exams, holidays and school events.  A copy of the sports fixtures can be viewed on the college website.

 

Senior Boys USA Basketball Tour – December 2019

Due to a late withdrawal there is a position open for a year 10-12 student willing and able to play basketball in the upcoming Senior Boys USA Basketball tour in December of this year. Please contact Mr Simon Carrello (Tour Manager) or Mr Andrew Osnain by the conclusion of Week 3 to express your interest.

Cross Country Training Years 7 – 12

Cross Country training is still underway with an impressive amount of students showing their commitment to the sessions over the school holidays. Training requires no nomination and is open to students of all ability levels. Training is scheduled on every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00-7:50am up until our Interschool Carnivals have taken place.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Leila Barker (Year 8), Lucas Russell (Year 10) and Jenna Russell (Year 7) who have all been selected into the Gymnastics WA State team and will be competing at the 2019 Australian Gymnastics Championships in Melbourne later in May.

 

Also, congratulations to Charlie Hodge (Year 8) who has been nominated for the Westpac 2019 Junior Swimmer of the Year Award.

 

Further congratulations to Kyle Yeo who was part of the team that represented Western Australia in the Under 17 Badminton National Championship held in Adelaide in April 2019, where the WA Team won the Bronze Medal.
