Year 7/8 Update
Welcome back for the latest and greatest from our junior school students.
There has been some amazing learning happening across all classes this term and below are photos to prove it.
Students have been working hard as the year winds down and now that we are in our final week it is as important as ever to celebrate the achievements of all our students.
Id like to congratulate all students on successfully making it through yet another extremely tough year. Now lets celebrate.
In our last week of school students will get to adventure out of the school for activities week. Oh the memories they will make.
With the holidays quick approaching please remember to plan ahead and order new uniform, books or laptops for 2022 so students can have the best start to the new year as possible.
Remember to stay safe these holidays and John Fawkner College cant wait to see you all in the new year.

Year 9/10 Update
As we head to the end of the 2021, I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate the year 9 and 10 students and parents on the perseverance and resilience they have demonstrated this year. Despite the numerous disruptions we have been able to make our way to the end of the school year.
One of the highlights of term 4 were the student versus teacher basketball and dodgeball games. The basketball match was quite exciting with the students winning a close game in the end, but in the dodgeball activity teachers were able to redeem their previous loss.
Year 9 students have selected next year’s electives and year 10 students have been involved in the important decision-making process leading into year 11. Year 9 students will have the opportunity to be involved in a number of exciting activities during the final week of school in including Funfields Themepark, Tenpin Bowling and Merri Creek walk.
I would like to take the opportunity to remind students to begin their preparation for 2022 by ensuring they are ready for the start of the year:
>organise/update school uniform where required
>organise booklist
>organise writing materials and exercise books/display folders/pens and pencils etc.
>organise laptop
I would like to thank all students and parents for their support this year in my role as Year 9/10 Co-ordinator. I have enjoyed working with all students from these cohorts and look forward to observing their progress over the upcoming years. I would also like to thank Ms Gibbs for taking over the role during my absence in term 3 and wish her all the best for 2022 when she continues as Year 9/10 Co-ordinator.
Finally, I would like to wish all students and their parents a safe and relaxing break and I look forward to working with students and parents next year as we continue our education journey at John Fawkner College.

Year 11/12 Update
Welcome all to the final edition of JFC's newsletter for 2021. This year has been an interesting one and I am glad to see year 12s finishing their school year in style at the year 12 formal and graduation. It was also nice to see year 11 students completing the early commencement program for next year - there were many students who came to those classes with such a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Year 12 Formal
The year 12 formal for 2021 was held at Melrose receptions on Friday the 26th of November. What a night it was! Students and teachers had a fantastic time dancing the night away, and also taking some cute photos at the photobooth. It was really nice to see all year 12 students celebrating what was such a challenging but rewarding year for many.
Below are some lovely snaps from the evening:
Year 12 Graduation
The year 12 graduation will be taking place this Friday the 10th of December in the Learning Centre at JFC. Below are some details regarding the event:
3.30pm - students to arrive and put on gowns
4pm - ceremony to commence
5pm - ceremony to conclude
5-6pm - light refreshments and drinks to be served for guests
Students can bring 2 people to celebrate their graduation with. For all others that cannot attend the event - a link will be posted on compass that will direct you to a live stream.
That is all from the senior school at the moment. I would just like to wish all of the year 12s good luck with their future endeavours and I look forward to hearing from you when you receive your results next week.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
