Sport Development Leader

Another year of sport and activity at the college has flown by! Thank you to all those who have supported us along the way. Charlotte Russell our outgoing captain, the 2021 Sport committee and of course, our wonderful coaching staff.

We finished Term 4 Sport last night and I witnessed a hard-fought battle for the Y9a Basketball team. It is so pleasing to see that even with the stress of wanting to perform they all had fun and learnt many new skills along the journey. The rain was not welcome and with the downpours of late we found that AFL was cancelled last night. We were looking forward to the last game as we were playing one Premiership match and one for a bronze.  Our girls were sitting top of the table and 3rd leading into finals so we are thankfully they will still receive pennants and medals for an outstanding season.

Netball picked up a premiership with our Y7a team remaining undefeated through the competition. I know our other nine teams also had a great season with a bronze medal and some top half of the table results.

It’s now time to reflect and review for another big year ahead. We hope you stay active over the holidays, and we look forward to seeing you all back in January.
