Religious Education - Beginning of School 

Year Mass

Father Eric joined us to celebrate our 'Beginning of School Year' Mass last Friday. Unfortunately, due to the current restrictions, we were forced to do this important event via Google Meet. Nonetheless, it was a great celebration. Hopefully, we will be able to celebrate in our church again soon. 

Our Captains and Leaders

Some of our captains processed in with a variety of special items that hold significance for SJV. Liam and Ileesha held the school banner, the school candle was carried in by Marcus and Hazel, the school vision statement by Michal and Deeya, and the Book of the Gospels by Ted and Paris. Other Year Six Leaders volunteered to read from Scripture or lead the prayers of intercession. 

The leadership and captains' badges were blessed by Father. The official badge ceremony is postponed until we can have more people gather, hopefully, in the very near future. More information will be provided soon. 

Staff Commissioning 

The staff of SJV was officially commissioned and blessed by our students and Father Eric. They promised to continue to walk with families in faith and knowledge and strive to inspire each child to learn and flourish in our contemporary world.

I thank Father Eric, as well as all the students and staff of SJV for their participation and flexibility. Well done to all the readers from Grade 6.
