Brynell Francis Prep F

My name is Brynell Francis. I am so thrilled to be joining the SJV community in 2022. This year I am teaching Prep F. We have had a wonderful start to the year and all the preps have settled well in their first few weeks. I am in the first classroom of the Scanlon building, so you might see me waving out the window from time to time, please come and say hello if you get the chance. It has been lovely to get to know all the staff and students over the past week or so and I look forward to meeting more of our community throughout the year. Prior to my wonderful transition to SJV, I had been teaching at St Simon The Apostle Primary School in Rowville. Away from school I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my cheeky little niece who will turn 2 this year. I love singing, netball and taking my dog Comet for a walk. Meeting the staff at the end of last year for planning and transition days was just fantastic. SJV has a wonderful welcoming community and such caring staff and students, I am truly honoured to now be a part of this community.

It has been a pleasure meeting my class, students from other grades, staff and parents. I have received a very warm, friendly and kind welcome and I am really looking forward to being part of such a wonderful school community. I am so excited for 2022; it is going to be a terrific year of learning.  I am very excited to be working at SJV as an LSO. I have come from St. Agnes’ school in Highett where I was an LSO for the last 14 years.

It is time for me to have a change and I look forward to getting to know you all here. Come and say ‘hello’ to me anytime.

In the last week it has been my pleasure meeting both students and staff and I feel very welcome within the school community.

In my spare time I enjoy catching up with my daughter and my wonderful friends. Let’s hope that 2022 is a great year for everyone.

Jodie Sneikus (Learning Support Officer)

Hello SJV school community!

My name is Jodie Sneikus, but you can call me  Miss Jodie! I am a new Learning Support Officer here at SJV and I will also be supporting Mrs Torrisi in the library. I have come from St Louis de Montfort, Aspendale, where I worked for 12 years in an LSO and library administration role. I love supporting students to be the best they can be and fostering their strengths. I love anything creative, being outside in nature, and learning new things! Currently, I’m completing a qualification in Library and Information Studies to learn how to best support people to find information online and in their library. I am enjoying meeting the wonderful students so much and look forward to being part of the SJV school community.  Please say hello if you see me around the school!

Jonathan Rooney (Student Services Leader)

Hi, my name is Jonathan Rooney and I am really excited to be taking up the role of Learning Diversity Leader at St John Vianney's PS. Before this role I worked at St Stephen's PS in East Reservoir where I was the Learning Diversity Leader/ Religious Education Leader and Year 3/4 Classroom Teacher. Coming to a new school I am trying my best to learn as many people's names and meet as many students as I can. Fingers crossed, we'll be all able to come back onto the school grounds where I can meet the wider community properly. Till then - please say hi! Away from school I love going to the gym a few times a week. If I'm not there, odds are you'll see me enjoying a latte! Cheers!
