Welcome Back! The year has started well and the students have settled quickly into their new classrooms. We are so fortunate to have such a lovely school in which to learn and work in.

SAVE THE DATE
Meet the Teacher online - Thursday 10th February 2021
Once again this year given the current restrictions, we will be conducting our “Meet the Teacher” interviews online. Interviews will run for 10 minutes. You will be able to make an appointment to meet your child/s teacher/s via the School Interviews Quicklink on the School Website. The booking code has been emailed directly to all families.
Important to note that school will finish promptly for all students at 1.00pm on Thursday 10th February to allow Teachers to set up for the interviews.
SPECIALIST TIMETABLE TERM 1 2022
The St James Specialist Program commences next week (Week 3A) on Tuesday 8th February. Students will be required to wear their Sports Uniform on Tuesdays for Physical Education classes and Class Sport on Fridays.

Students will need to wear their full summer uniform on this day and bring their runners in their bags for PE classes.

Covid-19 Safety at School
At St James we have put a number of strategies in place to reduce the risk of transmission. No one strategy is 100% effective.
Here are just some of the ways we are doing to keep our Students, School community and Staff safe and well.
In light of current restrictions and inline with our School Covid Safety we ask that you respect and follow the following guidelines.

School Devices and Acceptable Use Policies and Operoo
Next week to coincide with Safer Internet Day (Tuesday 8th, February), the students will be provided with acceptable use agreements to read and sign prior to using a device or the internet.
In the next week we will be sending electronically to all parents a series of policies and agreements to read and sign. One of these policies will be the Acceptable Use Policy for 2023. We kindly ask that when you receive this agreement via Operoo you discuss it with your child. Students will be unable to use a device without this permission.
Social Distancing
Thank you to all parents and carers who are helping the community to stay safe and healthy by keeping 1.5m apart at drop-off and pick-up times.
Although physical distancing will not apply to students in class, it does still apply to staff and parents. Therefore we ask that you respect our requests to minimise contact and continue with social distancing during drop off and pick ups, adults will also need to adhere to wearing masks when in public places including drop off and pick up.
