Pastoral Care and Wellbeing

Welcome to the 2022 school year! It has been wonderful to have students and staff back onsite together to commence the new school year and embark on new learning opportunities, celebrating friendships and positive experiences.

Our Learning Mentor program is the cornerstone of our Pastoral Care and Wellbeing system. Each House comprises seven vertical Learning Mentor groups. Your Learning Mentor, or LM, is the first port of call should you require assistance, support or information. If you would like to provide additional information regarding your student, please contact the LM. Later this term we will be having Learning Mentor Meetings which will be a fantastic opportunity for you to catch up with your student’s Learning Mentor and how we can best work together to support your student.

We begin each day with LM, except Tuesdays where there are House Assemblies. It is imperative that students attend LM time as this is an important start to the day that provides resources, information, interaction and support.

Uniform

We pride ourselves on the synchronicity, tradition and sense of belonging our uniform provides for our students and school community. Our uniform items can be accessed from Hip Pocket, Echuca. Please support us in ensuring your students have full school uniform. Please refer to our Summer uniform items for clarification if needed. Please remember that sports uniform is only to be worn on specified days where your student has practical PE classes or Drama.  Technology and Science classes require leather shoes for occupational health and safety. Overall, the uniforms are looking fabulous, thank you!

School Wide Positive Behaviour Framework

Our SWPBS framework at St Joseph’s College is ‘Respect, Commit, Be Grateful’. Our Behaviour Matrix outlines the positive behaviours we want and expect to see.
