Whoohoo  Active wrist bands are on the way

New Free Program

We are super excited to launch Athletic Australia’s Active Bands to our PE and active games program, and at zero cost to our school community!

Active Bands has been created to get kids moving and increase physical literacy.  Research continually shows active kids perform better in the classroom and maintain better health and wellbeing.

Combining a super cool wristband with an interactive app, Active Bands is a fun, FREE way for kids to keep active and be rewarded along the way.  It can be hard to think of ideas to keep our kids active and having fun. Active Bands solves that problem by providing heaps of fun activities and challenges for kids to complete.

Best of all your child can use their Active Band at home and at school.  We will be using Active Bands at school during selected physical activities, so let’s capture all of their physical activity together!

Next week your child will bring home their new Weet-Bix Active Bands wristband. Please scan the QR code on the backing card, follow the easy prompts to download the app and register your child’s wristband.

Management of Covid 19 cases in School

Students who are unwell, even with the mildest of symptoms, must not attend school. If a student becomes unwell while at school, parents will be contacted for the student to be collected. Students who report a positive PCR/rapid antigen test must isolate for seven (7) days and not attend school during this period. Parents will be notified via Compass regarding positive cases within their child’s year level. We ask that parents refrain from sending their child to school if they are still symptomatic after 7 days and contact the school to discuss their situation.

COVID-Safe Practices

All classrooms now have Air purifier units in place. Handwashing and the use of hand sanitizer will be built into the daily school routine.

Where face masks are required

Wearing a mask is required for everyone aged 8 and above in all indoor settings in Victoria

Carry your mask at all times when leaving home.

Compass Kiosk- late Arrivals and early departures

At LPPS it is really important that all students  be signed in and out by parents at the office using the Compass ‘Kiosk’ (iPad).  Students being collected early will be called to the office by staff where they will be collected by parents/carers. Parents are not to go directly to the classroom unless requested by staff. Please ensure that COVID-19 safe practices are adhered to, ie. Social distancing, wearing masks and sanitising hands.
