Hello everyone,

Tag On program.

We are excited to have been accepted in to Bendigo Health's 'Move your way' project. The project is all about encouraging us all to make active travel choices. There will be two touch screen kiosks in our school- one inside the door of the multi-purpose room, and one in the passage of the downstairs building. Each morning, as students arrive at school, they 'tag on' and record how they travelled to school; bike, scoot, walk, car or bus.

Next week we will be distributing electronic 'tags' to all our students and if you would like your child to be part of the project, you register your child's 'tag' and then they can start using it straight away. You can also receive an email to let you know that your child has 'tagged on' and arrived at school.

If your family usually arrives at school by car, consider parking a little further away so you and your children can enjoy a short walk to school. There are also our regular 'Walk to School' mornings when we meet at Garden Gully playground, 8:15am, on the first Friday of each month. our next walk is on Friday 4th August.

Staffing update.

We are excited to welcome Cate Burns to our school as our Student Wellbeing Officer. Cate’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Work and a Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology. Cate will work at our school on Tuesdays and Fridays. If you would like your child to meet with Cate, please let me know and I will send home a permission form.

It is certainly typical central Victoria winter weather! Rug up, go for a walk or a ride and enjoy that brisk winter air!
