What we have been up to...

During the last fortnight students have continued to develop their knowledge of place value. On Friday they solved a problem where there were unknowns to the equation e.g. _4 + _ =_ 0 students could work individually or with a partner. It was great to the see the collaboration and the students work together to find a pattern or rule to follow.

Our Topic lessons have involved the exploration of sound including pitch, volume and the way sound travels.

Today the students have enjoyed their experience at the Ecolinc Incursion titled 'What keeps us up?' Students enjoyed exploring the concepts of vertebrates and invertebrates and checking out lots of the bugs and creatures on display.

Learning in Week 5 and 6

During Fire Education students will be learning about smoke alarms and talking about a family fire escape plan - this could be a great conversation to have or continue at home.
