CURRICULUM FOCUS

We are learning to compare and order length. We will learn how to compare more than two objects by length or height using the words “tallest,” “longest,” and “shortest.”


VOCABULARY

Order: Formal arrangement of things.

Length: Length is the measurement or extent of something from end to end. 

Tallest: Maximum height among a group of things.

Longest: Maximum distance from end to end.

Shortest: Describes an object with the smallest length, height, or distance. 


ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

At home, try sorting toys (no more than 10) in order from shortest to longest/tallest.
