Prep – 2 Swimming Lessons

Our Grade Pre-2’s thoroughly enjoyed their swimming lessons at Aquarena. I was lucky enough to be able to attend a couple of sessions and see them all in action and from all accounts everything ran very smoothly. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to help students getting dressed in the changerooms, which meant we met all our bus deadlines.

5/6 Hooptime

Last Wednesday most of our 5/6 students participated in the Hooptime competition at Nunawading basketball Centre in East Burwood. It was an exciting day for the students who haven’t competed before and particularly for our students who don’t play basketball, so lots of new skills were learnt. I even heard that a few students are thinking of now taking up basketball. 

Congratulations to our All Star Boys who made it to the semi finals and played a thrilling match to unfortunately lose by 1 point after time! Thank you to Maddy Wilson and Kim Charbonneau for coming and helping to score.

Open Teeball Regional Final

We wish our teeball team all the best for their Regional finals on Monday 21st August at the Waverley Softball Centre: Dash, Mack, Emmett, Kye, Charlie, Mitchell, Elliot, Baxter Sm, Jai, Dan and Gabe. Unfortunately we will be missing Nash who plays in the Pitcher position but he is lucky enough to be going overseas for 6 weeks. 

Sport Uniforms

There are still some football and soccer uniforms that have not been returned from Term 2 Interschool sport as well as some singlets from the 5/6 hooptime. Could these be brought to school ASAP. Thank you.
