Parents & Carers

Sharing your child's education journey with parents and carers.

Tell Them From Me Survey

The survey is available in a number of languages.  Participation of the survey is anonymous and confidential.

If you have more than one child at the school, you may choose to complete the survey more than once to provide feedback on each child's experience.

Supporting teens during COVID

Why routines are good for teens

  • They can make teens feel safe and secure, and help them to deal with stressful events.
  • They indicate what’s important to your family.
  • They can help family life run a little smoother.
  • They teach teens about basic work and time management skills.

Bonus: If your teen gets into a routine, it’ll be easier for you and the whole household to be in a good routine. We’re all in this together.

Learning From Home

We understand some students do not have access to a device or internet for online learning. Contact the school to discuss non-digital learning from home options for your child.

How to write a PEEL paragraph

For Parents, Carers and Students, PEEL paragraphs are a writing strategy that have been integrated within our school. You may have heard our MHS teachers talk about this quite often. In this video The Mother of PEEL (Ms Shadid) explains how to write a PEEL paragraph. This explanation may assist you with writing or with your understanding on how to help your child develop their writing.

Tips For Online Learning

Setting up at home study plans (tips on time management including class time, staying active and recording on a calendar when things are due):

  • Write down when things are due. Doing this in order that things are due is the most beneficial.
  • Do the things that are the most urgent. What is due first?
  • Schedule in time for fun activities.
  • Keep everything organised and tidy.
  • Set time limits for each task, for example your class is scheduled for 45 minutes. Try to get all your work done during that time.
  • If you’re having some trouble completing your work, break it down and make steps to help you finish it.
