New Uniform Term 4

With the transition to the new uniform in Term 4, we have been informing students of the changes and what they will need to be aware of.  The attached slides are from a slide  show shown to the students this week and next.   This slideshow will also be available on the college website for your reference.  Please contact your child’s TA teacher if you need assistance with the new uniform. The following two slides provide further clarity regarding school shoes.

Hats next week

Please ensure that your child has a hat for next week.  From Week 7, hats are compulsory for all outdoor play and outdoor classes.  The UV index this past week has been 3 a number of times.  When the UV index is 3 or above, sun protection should be used. All learning spaces have sunscreen and staff are encouraging use.  From next week our younger students will be asked to apply sunscreen before break times as well as put their hat on before going outside.  If you would like your child to use their own sunscreen, please provide this for them and inform your child’s TA.  Hats are available from the College Office for $15.

New Courts and Consultation

Our student leaders have been busy collecting feedback from our students regarding the use of the new courts.  These leaders are assisting Community Leaders to formulate how the courts will be used and who will have access at particular times.  We anticipate that we will be able to use the new courts from next term.

Behaviour of Concern Notification

Further to the letter sent to parents last week regarding Behaviour of Concern Notifications, I just wanted to clarify that if the College has a significant concern, parents will still be contacted.  The notification will not replace what has always occurred, rather compliment it.  Some parents have appreciated the notification as a ‘heads up’ for a further conversation between themselves and their child’s TA or Community Leader.
