Children’s Book Week - Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds

The Children’s Book Council of Australia runs Children's Book Week every year. The theme for 2021 is Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds and runs from 21st to 27th August. Students have been investigating the shortlisted books for the Book of the Year Awards. These awards are announced by the CBCA today at 12.00pm.

Book Character Parade

Our annual Book Character Dress Up Day will be next Monday, 23rd August. Due to COVID 19 restrictions still in place there will not be a parade this year. Students and staff are asked to come dressed as a book character or something related to our different ‘worlds’ theme. There is no cost involved.

We will have a photo booth with a backdrop of an ‘Other World’ for students to have their picture taken in front of between E Wing and the Church. Please encourage your children to come and have their photo taken. These will be made into a movie to share with the school community.
