Year 8 Science

Year 8I have been becoming acquainted with the Biological levels of organisation beginning with cells to systems such as the digestive system.

They have become familiar with both plant and animal cells and the organelles that comprise them, as well as taking a look at other specialised cells.

To demonstrate their knowledge, students had to make a cell model and describe the function and form of the organelles comprising their chosen cell.

Furthermore, they also produced ‘Cellumon’ cards (below) to describe specialised cells.

The students have presented some outstanding work - continuing on the following page with examples of their research into a disease or deficiency of the Digestive System!
